The gallery just below shows a Reading rifle based on a gun in the Rifles of Colonial America (RCA) #25. It has a .54 caliber,  swamped Getz barrel and Jim Chambers’ Golden Age flintlock.

The RCA #22 inspired this Reading rifle,  but my rendition has a domed patchbox lid. The rifle has a .54 caliber,  swamped Getz barrel and Jim Chambers’ Deluxe Siler Lock.

The final Reading is based on RCA #21. It has a .50 caliber, swamped Getz barrel and a R.E. Davis’ 1750 flintlock.
